I'm more of a country girl at heart and I much prefer rustic buildings and architectural details. I also am fascinated by older structures and buildings which often display a level of detail and workmanship which are absent from modern architecture. However, glass and chrome buildings definitely have their place in this world and many make striking images. Black and white is used to great advantage in architectural photography as it forces the viewer to focus on the form of the structure or pattern. Taking this type of image requires a different eye?
My favourite photographs often involve natural elements-either a garden or other greenery. It's always a pleasure to see the successful joining of man and nature.
